Originally I had planned on flying in with Meaghan Gass. But my flight from DC to Boston got delayed, meaning that I would miss my connecting flight to Iceland with her. A lady at United Airlines tried to tell me that I should takt the flight from DC to Boston anyway because maybe my international flight would be delayed to...
Something about what she said didn't sound right so I got on the phone with Icelqnd Air and they told me to have United reroute me. I got back in line and United did just that. Had I listened to the first lady and gone to Boston, I would have missed the connecting flight, been stuck in Boston, and there would have been nothing United or Iceland Air could have done for me at that point.
So I flied from DC to Germany to connect to Paris. In Germany though, they would not let me on the plane. No one had any record of me being rerouted. They even delayed the take off time of the plane but finally they let me on. Everyone spoke German so I am not sure how that got resolved but I am very grateful that it did!
